ESC in Spain – Katarzyna

Katarzyna Zapała at IDEA (Iniciativa per al Desenvolupament Econòmic d’Alzira)

As my volunteering experience in Spain is coming to an end, it’s time to look back on these amazing nine months.

It has been a really meaningful and enriching experience for me. During my project, I had the chance to take part in the daily life of the school and work with students and staff.

My tasks included helping with school activities, taking part in workshops and events, supporting promotional activities, and encouraging young people to join international opportunities. Living and volunteering in Spain also helped me see things from new perspectives, understand Spanish culture better, and get to know places like Valencia and other parts of Spain, while meeting many great people along the way.

I especially enjoyed observing Spanish teachers at work, as they were very inspiring, and I really felt welcomed and involved by them in the school.

This experience has been an important step for my personal and professional growth, and I’m really grateful for everything I’ve learned and all the people I’ve met.
